cfda & the fashion fund
Calling all fashion designers, aspiring designers, fashion devotees, etc. You're going to want to catch up on episodes of The Fashion Fund on Hulu. I don't know if you're fans of fashion reality tv or not; but this show is somehow different. For one, the designers are already established. For another, the show is not about creating personalities and drama for the small screen; but more about taking an established label to the next level.
Again, if you're serious about fashion, you're going to like this show. The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award is one of the most pretigious (and useful) prizes in the industry. The winner receives $300,000 to pursue his or her own business plan, and a year-long mentorship with industry professionals in areas including business planning, marketing, sourcing, production, and exporting, to name a few. Good stuff. The Fashion Fund is more documentary than reality show, and as such, a bit more serious, as is the prize itself.
