Did you know that Papa John's gives you two pies for the price on one? I kinda like that idea. That, and their tagline, "Pizza Pizza." When you think about it, it's a pretty great tagline. I'm thinking someone thought of the tagline first, and then some other dude said, hey, let's chop the pizza in half and give them "two" -- you know one pizza, just cut on two. They'll like it. Anyway, this pizza scissors is pretty rad. I wonder if it's two-for-one. Oh wait, I just read that Pizza! Pizza! is Little Caesar's, not Papa John's. Well, that ad campaign doesn't work. Pinterest is certainly a good place to daydream about ideas. I always come away with so many project and party ideas, and things I want to make or cook or sew. This fancy gold-dipped feather idea is so simple and so beautiful. I could imagine these as part of an arrangement on a coffee table, or hanging from the end of garland on a window, or perhaps working it into an outfit somehow. Have you ever browsed Pinterest and thought, now I have to throw a party and get dozens of white helium balloons? The answer may have been no at first, but now that you've see this picture and all these other pictures on Pinterest, isn't the answer yes? Yes. We love the black and white chevron print! It looks so great against the hot pink. Perhaps we'd love it more if it were silver sparkle instead of gold. But then again, it depends on what accessories you wear to tie in the nails. Have you noticed how much nail art there is on Pinterest? A lot. Yup, this is from Pinterest.

valentine's day is coming

Yes, I know. We just got finished with a few major holidays. But we in fashion are always thinking ahead. Valentine's Day is coming! And before you know it, it'll be too late to wear anything cool or plan anything cool because you didn't start thinking about it early enough. That's where we come in. Giving you that little nudge in the right direction.

We thought these theme party ideas [pictured above] were the cutest! They're from the Hostess with the Mostess blog. Worth a read, for sure. If you want to take the pressure off a "date situation" and pursue someone you like, invite your friends and turn it into a group party. (We are loving the powdered donuts on the cake plate!!) Next we'll tell you some cute outfits you can consider for your Valentine's hostessing duties. :-)

This is such a cool lunchbox! Especially if you bring salads to work, which I do. I love the color. I love the material. I love that it comes with a separate dressing container.

If your New Year's resolution happens to be "eat healthier" or "spend less money on Midtown lunches" or "become more environmentally friendly" or words to that effect, perhaps you should consider one of these. I haven't written my New Year's resolutions yet. But I think I will be in the coming days. Have you? Have you stuck with them?

How do some people think of such good ideas? I have party envy every time I look at Hostess with the Mostess blog. I look at the ideas and think, I wish I could throw a party a week. But I don't even own a pedestal cake plate. So many beautiful presentations! I am in awe. I especially love the cupcake candelabras. I would have never thought of that in a million years.
